The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm in our school on 15th August, 2025. The programme began at 7:30 a.m. with the flag hoisting ceremony performed by Sri Guru Charan Das, Principal of the school. After the flag unfurling, the National Anthem was sung with pride by all present. The event was anchored by Delisha Chetia(Class-X) and Abhinab Patil(Class-X) who kept the programme lively and well coordinated. The Principal then delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of the day and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. This was followed by a melodious patriotic song presented by a group of students, which filled the atmosphere with national pride. Kum Monalisa Dutta, a student of Class XI Arts, delivered a speech that beautifully expressed the value of freedom and the responsibilities of the younger generation. Kum Dikshita Saikia from Class IX and Yolima Yasmin from Class VIII recited two beautiful poems that arose patriotic feelings. The event continued with a captivating role play performed by two students from each of the four houses, depicting the heroes of freedom struggle. To further kindle patriotic spirit, a series of patriotic slogans was led by teacher Sri Sailesh Bhagat, actively engaging the students and audience. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets among all.
The programme was attended by around 1000 people including students, teachers, parents, and guardians, who all participated with great zeal, making the event memorable and inspiring.
