Raksha Bandhan

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm on 9th August 2025 at 9 a.m.. The programme commenced with Manglacharan, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. This was followed by a speech delivered by Ashpreet Kaur, a student of Class XI Arts, who highlighted the history and significance of Raksha Bandhan. She also presented a PowerPoint presentation to make the session more engaging and informative.

A soulful group song based on the theme of Raksha Bandhan was then presented by the teachers, adding a melodious touch to the occasion. Thereafter, the students participated in the Rakhi-tying rituals under the guidance of Sri Brahmanand Dwivedi Sir. Following this, a video was shown to further emphasize the importance of celebrating Raksha Bandhan.

As part of the celebration, four locations were selected for students to visit and tie rachis- Ledo Police Station, Coal India Office, Army Camp (Changlang Road), and Coal India Central Hospital, Margherita. Selected students, accompanied by teachers, visited these places to share the festive spirit and express gratitude towards the individuals serving the community. The programme concluded with joy, mutual respect, and the spirit of unity that Raksha Bandhan signifies.
