Our school solemnly observed Lachit Divas on 24th November 2025 to honour the bravery, leadership, and patriotism of the great Ahom general, Lachit Borphukan. The programme began with Mangalacharan. A patriotic song was then presented by a group of students, highlighting the spirit of courage and love for the motherland. This was followed by an inspiring speech delivered by Smt. Gayatri Nath, Teacher, who spoke about the life, valour, and remarkable contributions of Lachit Borphukan in the Battle of Saraighat. Then a quiz session was conducted, where participants enthusiastically answered questions related to Assam’s history and Lachit Borphukan’s heroic deeds. Students also presented poem recitations, expressing their admiration for the legendary warrior through creative and heartfelt verses.
