Personality Development Cam (PDC)

A Personality Development Camp was organised by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEC) Baragolai for the students of Class-VI in the Main Prayer Hall of the school from 9th June to 13th June, 2025. Eighty Eight  students from our school and 15 students from nearby Hindi Adarsh Vidyalaya, altogether 103 stduents participated in the camp.  The Shibir Geet of the Camp was “Desh hume Deta he sab Kuch”.The students were divided into Eight groups.  Each group has one group leader. The names of the Groups were Mani Ram Dewan, Paona Brajavashi, Bhagat Singh, Lachit Borgohain, Veer Savarkar, Shivaram Rajguru, Kanaklata Boruah, PA TOGAN Sangma.

For the well functioning of the camp, some responsibility was given to the following members.

The Camp commenced on 9.6.2025 at 9:10 am in the Prayer hall with prayer led by Bornali didi and Sailesh Bhagat Sir followed by three OMkaras, Mangalacharan, Geeta Chanting in Lead and Follow.

On 1^st Day 9^th June, 2025 PDC for Class-VI was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sri Augustain Ville, Area manager, CIL.he guided the students, about the purpose of the camp through many stories.  Then Sri Rama Rao Sir, Head Master of Adarsh Hindi Vidyalaya also guided our students by many tips of life. Then our Principal sir and Vice Principal Sir also said the aims and objectives of the Shibir.

Every day after school prayer, pratah Samaran, Geeta Chanting was held followed by Shibir Geet “Desh Deta Hain Sabkuch, Ham Vito Kuch dena Sikhe”.

 Then Satra I, a Boudhik Session was taken everyday to develop the intellectual level of the students.  For Example

1^st Day: 09/06/2025 – The topic was – What is Personality Development ? was spoken by Uttara Didi.

2^nd Day: 10^th June, 2025 : The topic was Lachit Borphukan, presented by Sri Raj Kumar Gogoi Sir through a PPT Presentation on 3^rd Day, Dt. 11^th June, 2025, the topic was about Bravery Award was beautifully presented by Mamon Chowdhury didi by citing the two great heroes of Indian History i.e. Neeraja Banot, a young women pilot, who saved 360 people’s life by sacrificing herself in the bullet of terrorists in a Air-Hijack.

Secondly,  Major Mohit Sharma, a distinguished officer of the Indian Army, who sacrificed his life for the sake of our Motherland and until his last breath he fought against the terrorists.

On 4^th Day of the 1^st Satra the topic was know your organisation and the activities of Vivekananda Kendra which was delivered by Sri Kandha Kochiary. He  highlighted on all activities of Vivekananda Kendra and specially about “Amrit Parivar” the meaning and purpose of Amrit Parivar, where  he guided the students to imbibe some good habits in their day to day life by which they will also be a part of Amrit Parivar.

On 5^th Day of the 1^st Satra The Topic was ‘Samskara Varga, why and How’ ? delivered by Sri Lochan Gautam Sir.

Similarly, in Second Satra’, How to develop leadership quality’ was spoken by Sailesh Bhagat Sir.

On Second Day, the Topic was Imagine a day in a life of Soldier.

On 3^rd day, the Topic was Mera Bharat Mahan, spoken by Pinki didi.

On 4^th Day each group presented a skit-based on the ideology of Vivekananda Kendra, like a skit on the life of Saheed Bhagat Singh Mananiya Eknathji, Lachit Borphukan, Swami

 Vivekananda etc. on 5^th Day the topic was future planning of Samskar Varga was delivered by Susri Munmi Raj Kumari and Susri Anindita Dey.

 Besides these, every day some mantras and kendra prayer meaning and patriotic songs were taught.  At last Samskar Varga session was taken by the Physical Education teacher Smt. Papori Gogoi Didi, where commands, in Sanskrit, Patriotic Songs and inspiring Games were taught which were very enthusiastic and motivational and liked by all students and they felt very happy and energetic.

The last day of the Shibir , the Samapan Satra, is the last Part of the PDC and today’s Chief Guest is Sri Tanmoy Bhowmick Sir an officer of Coal India Limited, Margherita  is also an active member of our VMC. Our Vice Principal sir welcomed the Chief Guest with a Phulam Gamocha and a token of love.
